We visited the Ming Tombs on the way to the Great Wall. They were fascinating, but Tong was disappointed we didn't get to see inside the Tomb itself - she did some years ago and said it was by far the most spectacular part. I can only guess that they've had to pull things back a bit because of the damage large numbers of visitors can do.
